About
What is Zerochampion?
Had enough of people talking tosh about being green or zero carbon?
Zerochampion is a blog dedicated to getting real about creating a sustainable built environment. Created by a sceptical journalist (are they anything but?) the site is a hub for discussion and debate on green legislation, codes, design, construction and development.
The blog was launched in January 2007 by Phil Clark, editorial director of sustainability at CMPi, the UK’s leading and best publisher of business magaziness for the property and construction industries.
Me
Official blurb: editorial director for sustainability at CMP Information. I’ve launched new sustainable sections of the Building, Building Design, Property Week and Building Services Journal websites and am responsible for environmental events held by the firm, such as the exhibition seminars and conferences.
I’ve been a construction journalist for eight year, holding the post of deputy editor at Building as well as launching and editing QS News magazine. I won news journalist of the year in 2006 at the International Building press awards and have twice been nominated as business journalist of the year by the Periodical Publisher’s Association.
Less official: Culture freak, rugby bore, London-dwelling, mid 30s, balding.
